SENIOR THESIS
FORAGER
Process begins with trial and error. Searching for the techniques and juxtapositions between fluid and natural lines versus the straight and lean lines. Trying to capture the layers that nature creates and stacking them on the human body. Utilizing the natural curves and shaping them into their new shapes.
I named this collection forager because I felt the materials used had a found feeling, as if the wearer had found the materials and they were finding their purpose in the collection. Through the patchworking threaded throughout and using the same materials as their flat origin mixed with the manipulated knitted version I was able to let the pieces create their own shapes with little direction from me. They forged their own path on the form and created a purpose.
