Who I Am

Hi, I’m Gabriella Guerra! I am a fashion designer based in Denver with training in UX design. I grew up in the Denver area nestled next to the Rockies and have always had desire for adventure. This desire and my love of shapes, colors and clothes swept me to New York where I attended Pratt Institute. I stuck around in New York for the start of my career as an intern at Joe Fresh and then moving to Macy’s to join the INCredible team at INC-RTW. For over 7 years I was responsible for the design, development, selection, and approval of materials, trims, silhouettes, colors and patterns for my area of responsibility. 2 years ago, my love for the mountains and wild places drew me back to Denver and I was fortunate to continue my tenure at Macy’s as a hybrid colleague, but now I am looking for my next chapter. I love learning new things and this constant curiosity has stewarded me to work on men’s, kids, wovens, knits, sweaters and denim. I embrace challenges as opportunities to creatively and strategically think of solutions and new workflows to enhance efficiency and high performance. I have a strong ability to build trust and create a community across all levels and functions of an organization. I have a passion for sustainability and was honored to be a co-lead for the Better Earth colleague resource group at Macy’s. Additionally, leadership is very important to me and good teams stem from good leaders and mentors. I was able to assist in onboarding new colleagues and mentoring a couple new assistants to inspire, motivate and influence. I maintain an industry presence that allows for connections, new business opportunities, and seasonal trends. I will bring realistic optimism, high energy, and creative ideas wherever I go.
